In 1961, Robert Mitchell started Mitchell Electrical Company. The company was incorporated on July 1, 1971 under the name Mitchell Electrical, Inc. with Robert Mitchell as President, Don Gigerich as Vice President, and approximately 18 employees. The company was first located on Grand Avenue in Hot Springs and later moved its offices to the ABT (Regions) Bank building in downtown Hot Springs.

After Robert's passing in 1989, Don Gigerich purchased the company from Robert's heirs in April, 1991 and officially changed the name to Gigerich Electrical, Inc (GEI). GEI moved its office and warehouse to 4669 Malvern Road in October 1997, where it remains today. Don Gigerich is still active today as President with Scott Brown as Vice President. To date the company employs over 125 electricians and office staff.

Scott Brown, Vice President of Gigerich Electrical, Inc. started his electrical career in Florida before joining the USMC. After returning to Florida where he earned his journeyman's license, Scott moved to Arkansas where he joined GEI in 1987. Scott holds a Master License in multiple states. In 1995 Scott became Vice President of GEI and chief operations officer.

Greg Story has worked for GEI since 1993. Greg has over 24 years experience in the electrical field. He holds a master electrician license in the state of Arkansas and is one of our project managers over our large commercial contracting jobs. Greg is the head of our Infrared Thermography department holding ASNT Level1 certification.
