Arkansas State Hospital Project Title: Arkansas State Hospital
Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas
Project Description:A new state of the art one level state hospital, was constructed and was completed in the Fall, 2007. Residents are taught on an Adult Acute Care Unit which is a specialized "Training Unit". Predoctoral psychology interns and graduate level social work students also train on that Unit. The Unit is staffed by some of our program's most popular attending psychiatrists. The hospital is comprised of 16 adolescent beds, 16 adolescent sex offender beds, 90 acute adult beds and 80 forensic beds. A newly approved Forensic Fellowship, based largely at ASH, is in its first year of existence. ASH also serves as a major rotation for Child/Adolescent Fellows from UAMS

UAMS Medical Center Project Title: UAMS Medical Center
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
Project Description: The 540,000 square foot expansion to UAMS Medical Center will include new patient rooms, a new emergency department, clinical lab and radiology department along with room to expand otherservices.
In addition, the new facility will include additional surgical and interventional suites, an intensive care unit and an intermediate care unit.
The hospital expansion will include 234 adult beds and 60 neonatal beds initially, with space for growth that would bring the total capacity to 393 private adult patient rooms between the new facility and the hospital's existing Ward Tower.
